EDIT: Okay, I realized what was off about the first post of this picture. Her pants are supposed to have a light shade of pink and have it faded into a darker shade at the bottom, so I changed the solid color and used the Gradient tool to get the affect. Gomen ne! >.<
This is Star! This is her name in Kanji form! She also has a flute in her hands. It's Koryuta's flute, from Koryuta, the half dragon, son of the dragon god. I'm so pleased with how this came out. It's only the colored version for now, still working on the shading and I'm starting to get a good background going too. I'm so happy that I finally have a scanner again! Yay me! I will be posting up a few more drawings here soon. I'm back in business! X3
Well, I guess it might, but she's indeed not holding it. She has the power of wind, so she is able to fly, thus using her powers as a Jupiter Adept to be able to keep it floating in mid-air. I think if I use a different method of coloring it in, it might look better, and maybe the shading too... Thanks for the input! =3
*hugs* this is super cute Em! Yes the gradient tool is our best friend! it works really well with shading... especially on things like the flute! It makes it easy b/c its a tube = circular shape... start at the left side and drag it to the right and POOF! its got a rounded surface! You playing with CS or photoshop?
Photoshop. I'll keep that in mind for the flute, I just know that I needed it for the pants design. Just like for another character like her, named Kittyhawk, her sleeves are the same way. Thanks for the useful tip!
Thanks! She really is. I think though, I don't like the colors on her outfit... I might have to make it a little more... brighter? The color is fine, it just needs to have a different tone I guess is what I'm saying.

Finally I found the time and effort to do another watchers feature. A lot of new-comers have shown up since the last feature, and I want to thank them all for being interested in my works. I've roamed through all their galleries, and picked the one, two or three best deviations made by each. I hope you will enjoy this collection as much as I enjoyed making it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
We will start submitting "Nature Photography Tips" news articles once every 2 weeks
Anyone can share with us what they know about the topic. In this blog [link] , we announced the topic, and many members have shared their knowledge and experiences with us
