Happy New Year's Contest!!

Sat Jan 2, 2010, 8:51 PM
That's right! What better way to welcome the New Year than with a friendly art contest?
Here are the rules:
You can draw my avatar, or any of my OC's. You can draw either one, more than one, or both options with your own character or characters in it!
Depending on how many you draw in the picture, and it wins, will determine how many people I will draw for your prize.

For example: If you draw 3 characters, and it wins the contest, I will in-turn draw 3 characters of your choosing in a drawing.

Prizes:
First: Drawing done in photoshop w/ lineart, color, shading and simple background.
Second: Drawing done in photoshop w/ linart and color, but w/out shading and simple background.
Third: Drawing done in lineart only on Photoshop.
-I will draw OC's or character's from other Anime's, or even your OC's and character's from other Anime's together!
-I will not draw anything pertaining to sex or sexual acts, as well as Yaoi or Yuri, or even Hentai. (I'm just not into that kind of thing, and I refuse to do so.)

Here's who you can draw:

Me (Emy):

Cherushi Metsumari:

I went for my doctor's appointment at about 11:30 in the morning on Tuesday, December 30, 2008. My mom and my husband were both with me.
They strapped a monitor on my belly to hear the baby's heartbeat, which I was strapped for about 30 minutes to an hour. After everything looked okay, we talked to my doctor about enducing my pregnancy.
He checked me out, and said it would be okay, seeing how I was about 5cm dialated and 70% efaced. I was well over ready to pop him out!
We went to the hospital to check in, and I got my room. My mom and my mother-in-law accompanied me and Steve as they strapped another monitor around me, and we waited a few hours.
I was having contractions, but not the steady ones.
At about 3 or 4 in the afternoon, they broke my water, and then, my contractions were skyrocketing!
I dialated at a fast rate. No anthestics (because my labor was going too fast to get me anything), no epidural (cause I didn't want to risk parylizing myself for the rest of my life), and I gave birth to Josh at 7:41p.
He weighed 8lbs and 3oz. When I gave birth to him, they cleared out his lungs, and I heard him cry for the first time. I cried. I fell in love.
They only let me hold him for a few seconds, and then they took him to the side table to clean him up for me. They gave him back after that, and I tell you, he was the most beautiful thing I had ever saw in my life. When it came time to let other family members hold him, I had a hard time letting go. He was too precious to me.
Now, here I am, a year later, and year wiser, a year older, and a year-old mom.
Josh has grown so fast... I can't recall where the time went. It flew by so quick. I remember holding him gently in my arms not to long ago, making sure that his head stayed steady, because he couldn't hold it up himself.
Now, he's walking and babling around our home, exploring the world... and even as I type, I cry, because he's growing up so fast. I've only had him for a year, and he's is gotten big already...
Is this how it's going to be when he gets old enough to go out on his own? How will I be able to cope with it?
I have so many questions. I'm going to be cherishing every day that goes by. Watching him grow, helping him learn his ABC's and 123's, his colors and shapes, his words and sentences.

My baby's already growing up...

Happy Birthday Josh! Here's to many more!

Well, I'm going to be quite busy for the next few weeks. They have both me and Steve working all next week, this week, and the week after that, more than likely, with only one day off during the week. Don't get us wrong, we love and appreciate the offer, but that gives us little time to really rest, relax, and finish up with our small gifts for our friends and family.
Also, Steve and I are going to be busy packing all of our things. That's right folks. We're getting out of this dump that we're living in, and we're moving to another apartment. It will be much closer to our jobs. We're moving about 1.5 miles away from here.
Also, come January, I will be going back to school online. I have financial aid set up and ready to go. Now, I just need to start signing up for classes. I really can't wait to get things straighten(?) out.

For those of you who don't know, I'm trying to become an Elementary School Choir Teacher. I will be making a good amount of money, and also, I'll be on the same schedule as Josh when he gets older.
The perks of being a teacher is nice too, I get nights off, weekends off, holidays off, and even the Summer off! It's not a bad deal.
I'm going to be working on my Bachelor's first, and my Master's second. Then, I have to take the National Teacher's Exam and pass. After that, if Steve and I decide to stay in Florida, I have to take a similar test for Florida to start teaching. I'm sure I'll be fine, but I still have a ways to go before I get to that point.

Even after I become a teacher, I will still be drawing and posting on dA. I love drawing, and I love to do it for the fun of it. I love to share my ideas with others, and it's a very relaxing thing for me to do, so don't worry, you can't get rid of me that easily. ;)

Anyways folks, I'll be on soon again, until then, Janae!
